What is your role on Any Night?
Director/Producer

How did you begin doing what you do? (Sound design, set, lighting, dance, acting, etc…)
Growing up in New York, theatre and dance have always been a part of my life.  I studied theatre at Yale (along with Art History) and then did my MFA in film at Boston University.   Since then I’ve been fortunate to work in film and theatre in a bunch of different cities: New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, and now my new home of Austin.

What has been the most exciting part about Any Night for you?  Most surprising?
I was drawn to this script from page one, and knew that it would be great casting for Zac and Marie (I had directed them each separately and we were looking for a show for me to direct them together) but it is thrilling to watch the work we began a year ago with table reads, etc, grow and deepen every night. That’s the fun of theatre - when a show has time to ‘steep’, as it were.  Also, there is not much that beats having one’s initial impulse or vision come to fruition through collaboration with expert designers and artists, who also happen to be lovely human beings!

Any strange/funny sleepwalking experiences or stories to share? Or strange/funny dream stories?
I went through a phase when I was younger of having very clear prophetic dreams.  Some were pretty mundane, but others were a little too close to the bone.  Creepy.
